India’s Adani Group to consolidate cement operations

India’s Adani Group is consolidating its cement operations under the “Adani Cement” brand, streamlining its structure by merging Sanghi Industries and Penna Cement into Ambuja Cements. With the acquisitions of Penna Cement and of Orient Cement the cement capacity will increase from 89 Mta to 97 Mta. The group also aims to merge Ambuja Cements (photo Marwar cement plant) and ACC in the future. This is part of a broader strategy to create a unified cement powerhouse and improve operational efficiency. Accordingly, the group is on track to achieve 140 Mta capacity by FY 2028.
