Massive capacity expansion projects planned in Libya

In the coming years in Libya a number of new kiln lines are planned for a massive capacity expansion. The new 6000 tpd New Benghazi plant of LCC is under construction to replace two older plants (photo) in the East. The 3500 tpd Suluq Al-Jadida line by Al-Rayan Holding is under construction in the West, where also the Al-Ahlia Lebda-Zliten 6600 tpd plant is planned, while the financial status of this project is unclear (we reported here 02.09.2024). Sinoma is in all three cases the EPC contractor or MoU partner. Two more projects shall be reactivated. The Misrata project by LAIC in the West and the Mahrouga project near Sabha in the Southern region.
