Two weeks ago, we posted about Nigeria’s Dangote Cement capacity expansion targets of 66.4 Mta by 2028 across Africa. Now Dangote signed a $1bn strategic agreement with Sinoma International to construct multiple new cement production facilities. The existing assets across Africa shall be expanded to about 80 Mta by 2030, aligning with Dangote’s Vision 2030 industrial growth plan. The agreement covers 12 projects, including greenfield plants, grinding units, expansions and upgrades in Nigeria, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Tanzania (Photo: existing 3.0 Mta Mtwara plant), Sierra Leone, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
