Dinson will start slag grinding plant in Zimbabwe

Disco Steel Dinson

Dinson Iron and Steel, which is owned by the Chinese Tsingshan Holding Group, will start a slag grinding plant at the Manhize industrial complex close to Chivhu in the Midlands of Zimbabwe in October 2026. The company operates a BF crude steel production (photo) with a capacity of 0.6 Mta and intents to use the GBFS from the plant in a slag grinding unit with 0.4 Mta capacity. The required clinker for a slag cement production will probably be imported, because Zimbabwe only operates one integrated cement plant by competitor PPC.
