Holcim Mexico announced to invest US$ 55m in a new grinding unit at its Tabasco cement plant in Macuspana. The expansion will help Holcim to reach a production capacity of 1.5 Mta of cement per year and allow the plant’s workforce to increase by 300 workers once it is operational. The new facility, scheduled to begin operations at the end of 2024, will be one of the most modern and efficient in the country. Holcim operates seven integrated cement plants and one separate grinding plant in Mexico with an installed capacity of 13.3 Mta.
