ABB and Germany’s alcemy have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop AI solutions for cement and concrete quality optimisation, while supporting carbon reduction targets. The partnership will integrate alcemy’s AI and ML-based quality prediction technology with ABB’s automation and process control systems to improve production efficiency, reduce variability and lower CO₂ emissions. As part of the collaboration, ABB and alcemy are establishing a framework to explore technical and commercial synergies, including the development of a joint value proposition for cement and ready-mix concrete customers.
