
Ghori Cement celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of the company’s 3rd kiln line in the Baghlan province of Afghanistan. The two existing lines in Pul-e-Khumri have capacities of 400 and 1000 tpd, utilizing old technology from the 60s. The new kiln line will have a capacity of 3600 tpd and will increase the plants capacity to 5000 tpd for an investment of US$ 86.7m. The project is being managed by the Taliban-run National Development Company with completion expected within 18 months.
