Adbri has been awarded $50m in funding towards a FEED study to increase the overall production at Birkenhead in Australia. Adbri has been successful in its application for grant funding in the first round of the Commonwealth’s Powering the Regions Fund (PRF). The fund is for installing a new vertical roller mill (VRM), including a post-production blending system at the Birkenhead facility, which is South Australia’s largest cement manufacturing facility. The FEED study shall be completed by 1.H 2025, and if approved by the Board, the new VRM will be in operation from 2026.
