Fanna Cement in Italy’s Pordenone district, comprising the cement plant (photo) and the corresponding concrete mixing plants in the region, is now officially part of Austria’ Alpacem Group. Fanna cement was built in 1974 and extensively modernised in 2003/2004. The annual clinker capacity is 0.66 Mta. The Fanna plant is now the third fully integrated plant within the Alpacem Group, alongside the plants in Wietersdorf, Austria, and Anhovo, Slovenia. Accordingly, Wietersdorfer Alpacem GmbH (Alpacem for short) has become the market leader for cement, concrete and raw materials in the Alps-Adriatic region.
