Now, the demo carbon capture unit CapsolGo® by Capsol Technologies has been installed at AB Akmenes Cementas in Lithuania, following a feasibility study done by Capsol for the SCHWENK Building Material Group’s cement plant in Latvia earlier this year. The installation of the demo unit is part of a contract for the delivery of two CapsolGo® carbon capture demonstration campaigns at Akmenės Cementas in Lithuania and at Schwenk’s Latvia cement plant. This project, starting in Q1 2025, involves capturing CO₂ from flue gases of both plants with a full-scale capture potential of 1.5 million tons of CO₂ per year.
