In Catalonia, Spain, in the first 8 month of 2023, the cement consumption significantly declined by -7.0% from 1.560 Mt in (Jan-Aug 2022) to 1.451 Mt (Jan-Aug 2023). However, also the cement production as well as the cement exports declined significantly. In 2022 the cement production stood at 2.349 Mta.
