Çimsa has opened a new grey cement grinding plant in Houston, Texas, for entering the grey cement production in the USA. The facility provides a grinding capacity of 0.6 Mta and has been developed by the Çimsa Americas Cement Manufacturing and Sales Corp, with an investment of around US$82m. Until now, Çimsa’s USA operations were limited to a white cement grinding plant with a capacity of 0.3 Mta supplied mainly via imports from Turkey or Spain.
