Dangote Cement has inaugurated the 3.0 Mta grinding unit (GU) in Attingué in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast). The grinding unit comprises two 1.5 Mta mills, which are grinding clinker mainly from Dangote’s facilities in Nigeria. The new facility expands Dangote’s cement production capacity on the African continent to 55.0 Mta in 11 countries. The ₦100 billion (100 billion CFA francs) investment reflects Aliko Dangote’s strategic vision for a self-sufficient Africa with cement that transforms its raw materials into globally competitive products.
