Dangote Cement announced that its 3.0 Mta cement grinding plant in the Ivory Coast will be completed by 3Q 2025. The grinding plant (illustration) is located next to the new industrial park in Yongbang City near Abidjan and covers an area of more than 60 hectares. The plant has two production lines, each with an annual capacity of 1.5 Mta (we reported here 04.11.2024). The clinker for the cement production will be provided from Dangote’s integrated plants in Nigeria. Clinker shipments have already been tested and are also provided to Ghana and Cameroon. Once completed, the project will create more than 3,000 direct and indirect jobs and strongly promote local economic development.
