DMCI Holdings is the new owner of Cemex Philippines

DMCI Holdings Inc. finalized the acquisition of the majority stake in Cemex Holdings Philippines (CHP), while Cemex keeps a minority stake of 10.14%. The acquisition comprises the former CHP assets in APO Cement (photo) and Solid Cement Corporation with a combined annual production capacity of 5.7 Mta, which is expected to grow to 7.2 Mta by early 2025 upon the completion of a plant expansion (we reported here 08.02.2024). DMCI is publicly listed with engineering and construction as its core competency. Its companies are vital to national development, including construction, real estate, mining, power generation and water distribution.
