Enagás and Heidelberg Materials collaborate in Northern Spain

The two companies signed a collaboration agreement to promote carbon footprint reduction projects in Northern Spain. Heidelberg Materials will develop CO2 capture technologies at its two cement plants in Añorga (photo) and Arrigorriaga in the Basque region of Spain. Enagás will study transmission, liquefaction, storage and ship loading solutions at its regasification terminals for the development of a CO2 capture, transmission and storage logistics chain. Enagás operates in 7 countries around 12,000 kilometres of gas pipelines, three underground storage facilities and eight regasification plants.
