Heidelberg Materials in Italy announced a power purchase agreement (PPA) with OX2, a leading independent power producer from renewable sources. The PPA will last for 7 years, starting in 2025 for an annual electricity supply of 36.6 to 51.2 GWh. The agreement includes up to 70% of the energy produced in OX2’ Stornarella wind farm, which is still in the construction phase close to Foggia in the Puglia region. The new windfarm with its six turbines has a total installed power of 27MW and will be operational end of this year.
