Heidelberg Materials North America announced that they have completed the acquisition of the Edmonton, Alberta, assets of Burnco in Canada. Burnco operates one rail-served cement distribution terminal, 3 ready-mixed concrete plants, 6 aggregate sites, 2 asphalt plants and a bitumen storage terminal. The acquisition will strengthen Heidelberg Materials’ existing vertical integrated footprint in the Edmonton market and expand the company’s product portfolio. About 200 new employees will be welcomed to Heidelberg Materials.
