Heidelberg Materials’ Bulgarian subsidiary in Devnya and renewable energy developer CWP Europe have signed a preliminary agreement to develop a new CWP wind farm. According to CWP, the investment exceeds more than € 300m, which will make the project the largest wind farm in the country upon commissioning. The agreement between the two companies stipulates that the foundation structures of the facilities will be built using EvoZero, the world’s first carbon-neutral cement. Heidelberg Materials will be supplied with green energy from a portion of the energy output of the new windfarm.
