Capsol Technologies has signed a contract with Holcim Group for the carbon capture project at Holcim’s Dotternhausen plant in Southern Germany. The contract includes the delivery of a carbon capture demonstration campaign, based on the CapsolEoP® (End-of-Pipe) technology. The technology is using a hot potassium carbonate (HPC) solvent, which requires no external steam supply, resulting in a relatively low energy consumption. If the demonstration campaign is successful, Holcim would consider deploying Capsol’s carbon capture technology also at other cement plants. The delivery of the CapsolGo® unit is scheduled for Q2 2025, testing is set to commence in late Q2 2025. The project will span 4 months.
