Huaxin Cement from China inaugurated a 0.8 Mta integrated cement plant in Balaka, Malawi, in partnerships with Portland Cement Malawi. The new line (photo) U$ 100m investment expands the 0.3 Mta capacity of the existing grinding unit to 1.1 Mta, enabling Malawi to cut clinker and cement imports while supporting job creation and local value chains.
