Holcim in Hungary announced that a new 26 MWp solar park has been connected to the Királyegyháza cement plant close to Pécs. At full capacity about one third of the plant’s energy requirement can be covered from renewable sources. The solar park has been developed by ID Energy Group since 2022 and is located on and around the premises of the cement plant. Holcim will purchase the generated energy at a fixed price for 15 years.
