India Cements is intensifying its efforts to lower production costs by modernizing its cement facilities while improving liquidity through the sale of non-core land holdings. The company expects to commission its Sankar Nagar cement grinding system in Tamil Nadu in September this year by replacing its old in-efficient cement mills, to safe electricity costs and improve the CO2 footprint.
