India’s Ambuja Cement replaced the existing grate cooler in its 4.0 Mta Maratha plant in Maharastra with a new IKN Pendulum cooler. The integrated cement plant (photo) has a clinker capacity of 8000 tpd. The new cooler achieves 100% hot air recuperation, while enhancing the energy recovery in a WHR-system and reducing CO2 emissions.
