JK Lakshmi Cement, a flagship company of India’s JK Organisation, is expanding the clinker capacity at its integrated cement plant at Durg in Chhattisgarh by installing a 2nd line of 2.3 Mta and 4 cement grinding units, aggregating to 4.6 Mta at Durg in Chhattisgarh (Photo: Jaykaypuram cement plant). Additionally, the company is installing 3 split cement grinding units at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh, Madhubani in Bihar & Patratu in Jharkhand. with an aggregate capacity of 3.4 Mta. The investment is about Rs.3000 Crores, proposed to be funded through Bank Term Loans of Rs.2100 Crores, while the balance is financed through internal accruals. The projects are implemented in phases and shall be completed by March 2028.
