The Lodha Group, India’s No. 1 Real Estate developer, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and RMI India signed a MoU to initiate the first commercial scale use of LC3 in India. LC3 (Limestone Calcined Clay Cements) shall be produced in 2025 by a major Indian cement supplier for one of the flagship construction projects under the Lodha Group in Palawa City (illustration) in Mumbai. Lodha systematically explores the usage of low-carbon concrete mixes and alternate cementitious materials such as LC3 by critically assessing the buildability and cost implications through pilots.
