Nuvoco Vistas Corp. Ltd, one of India’s leading cement producers, inaugurated the 2.0 Mta Limla cement plant (LCP) in Surat, Gujarat. The new grinding unit strengthens the company’s presence in India’s West region and has achieved project completion ahead of schedule. The grinding unit complements the integrated 10,000 tpd Kutch cement plant (photo) of Vadraj Cement Limited (VCL), which had been acquired by Nuvoco Vistas in June 2025 as well as the existing cement grinding unit in Surat. With LCP, Nuvoco Vistas is increasing its cement capacity to 35 Mta by the end of FY 2027, of which 40% are in India’s North and West regions, while the main capacity is located in Eastern India.
