India’s Shree Cement has commissioned a new 3.4 Mta clinker grinding unit by way of brownfield expansion at its Baloda Bazar integrated cement plant (photo) close to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The company has two more ongoing expansion projects in Jaitaran, Rajasthan (6.0 Mta) and Kodla, Karnataka (3.0 Mta), which are nearing completion. Shree Cement is India’s 3rd largest cement producer by capacity and intends to operate 71.8 Mta cement capacity by FY26 and 80 Mta by FY28.
