Star Cement began operations of the Cachar 2.0 Mta grinding unit near to Silchar City in Assam in North-East India. Accordingly, Star Cement increased their cement capacity from 7.7 to 9.7 Mta (photo: 2.0 Mta Mohitnagar grinding unit). The new grinding unit shall improve the company’s regional footprint. In FY 26-27 the commissioning of the 2.0 Mta Jorhat grinding unit shall be made operational. Star Cement keeps a mission to increase the capacity to 25 Mta by 2030.
