Star Cement has been setting up a new 3.0 Mta capacity clinker line with WHR-system in Lumshnong, Meghalaya in Northeast India. The company is operating already 2 integrated plants in Meghalaya with 2.8 Mta clinker and 1.7 Mta cement grinding capacity. Another 2 grinding units in Siliguri, West Bengal, and Sonapur-Guwahati, Assam, with 2.0 Mta, each, bring the total cement capacity of Star Cement to 5.7 Mta. Another 2.0 Mta grinding unit will be installed soon in Guwahati.
