UltraTech Cement commissioned a 1.8 Mta expansion of the APCW integrated cement plant in Tadiparti, Anantapur district in India’s Andhra Pradesh. The plant has been acquired in 2004 from L&T and comprised two kiln lines for 6.5 Mta clinker and 9.0 Mta cement (Line1 with 2.7 Mta and line2 with 3.8 Mta clinker capacity). Now, the clinker capacity has been expanded by 3.35 Mta to almost 10 Mta, while the cement capacity has been expanded by 1.8 Mta to 10.8 Mta. In recent years, the plant has obtained EC for a cement capacity expansion to 14.0 Mta.
