Mass Group Holding awarded a contract to Sinoma Suzhou to build a large 1 GW solar power plant in Al-Kut in southeast Iraq. The Mass Group operates a 6.0 Mta cement plant in Bazyan (photo), which is in the Sulaymaniyah district in Iraq’s northeast. The new photovoltaic plant will require an investment of $ 315.5m and shall be operational in 2026.
