Iraq’s SAKCPCL (Saqr Al-Keetan for Cement Production Company Limited) commissioned its 2nd grinding unit at Khor Al-Zubair, Basrah. The new grinding unit has a cement capacity of 1.0 Mta and has been supplied by Sinoma CBMI. The plant is completely using ball mils for the production of two types of cement. Pakistan’s Attock Cement (ACPL) made investments in this plant, but sold half of its shares to the local Al-Keetan Group in 2023. ACPL does not hold any longer the majority control over the company, while it has a remaining shareholding of 9,000,000 shares.
