Libya’s Al-Ahlia Cement announced to expand the capacity of the Lebda cement plant with a new 6600 tpd line in the region Tripolitania. The joint stock company operates 4 cement plants in Al-Margeb, Souk Al-Khamis, Zliten (photo) and Lebda, produced 1.9 Mta cement in 2023. The new plant shall be installed by Sinoma, which signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Ahlia to investigate the availability of the raw materials and designing the new kin line. A time-schedule has not been announced. Anyhow, the new facility will have a significant impact on the production efficiency of the company.
