Tanzania’s Mbeya Cement Company Ltd. (MCCL), which is a subsidiary of the Amsons Group, signed an EPC contract with Sinoma International for the construction of two new clinker production lines in Mbeya and Tanga. MCCL has been operating in Tanzania and other markets for over 40 years. A fully integrated cement 1.1 Mta plant (photo) is located in the Songwe industrial area in the Mbeya Region. When completed in the next 2-3 years, the new facilities are expected to substantially increase MCCL’s cement and clinker output and strengthen the company’s ability to meet the growing domestic and export markets.
