
In Mozambique, the construction of a clinker and cement production plant, valued at US$230 million, was officially launched (photo). The project belongs to Clay and Gravel Holding and will be installed in Muxúnguè, Chibabava district of the Sofala province. The cement plant will have capacity of 0.95 Mta clinker and 1.2 Mta cement, significantly strengthening national production capacity, reducing dependence on imported clinker, reinforcing the cement industry value chain and increasing the country’s competitiveness in the regional market.
