Orient Cement Limited has commissioned the 1st phase of a Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) at its Chittapur 3.0 Mta cement plant in Karnataka, India. In this phase a AQC boiler along with a turbine and air cooled condenser is recovering the energy from the kiln system. Overall, the gross power generation capacity of the WHRS, after the commissioning of 2nd phase will be 10.1 MW.
