Lucky Cement announced plans to expand its Karachi plant in Pakistan with multiple projects by 3.2 Mta cement capacity. The brownfield expansion of the plant (photo) shall meet the growing domestic and export demand. Upon competition, which is targeted for December 2027, the capacity of the plant will be 8.55 Mta. The WHR capacity of the plant shall expand by 10 MW to 31 MW, while the wind power shall grow by 22.5 MW to 51.3 MW. Together with the company’s Pezu plant in the North, the total local cement capacity is expected to reach 18.8 Mta.
