In a meeting on 5th February by the leaders of Pakistan and China and other officials, multiple memorandums of understanding (MoUs) have been signed. This includes one MoU between Pakistan’s Thatta Cement Company and China’s Qing Gong Construction Group, to build a 5000 tpd production line. Thatta is a wholly owned subsidiary of the State Cement Corporation of Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd. Their cement plant (photo) has a 1850 tpd kiln line and is located 115 km North East of Karachi at Ghulamullah Road, in District Thatta.
