With the acquisition of Andrah Cement a year ago, India’s Sagar Cement increased their clinker capacity to 6.4 Mta and cement capacity to 10.85 Mta. By 2035 the capacity shall be increased to 20 Mta, through inorganic and organic growth. The scope 1 CO2 emission targets shall be further reduced to 518.5 kg/t of cementitious material by 2030 and by zero in 2050. The company will invest in the latest and advanced technologies such as WHR, bio fuels and reducing the clinker factor to bring down overall GHG emissions.
