Saudi Arabia’s Southern Province Cement Co. (SPCC) produced the first trail batch of clinker with line no. 3 of its Jazan cement plant. The new line, which is built by Sinoma International Engineering, comprises a clinker production line with a capacity of 5000 tpd, a cement grinding capacity of 10,000 tpd, and infrastructure provision for an additional 5000 tpd clinker line. The existing 2 clinker lines shall be closed and replaced. SPCC expects all final construction works to be completed soon and that the commercial operations can start in 2026. The project forms part of the company’s broader strategy to enhance operational efficiency and to modernise production facilities through the adoption of advanced cement manufacturing technologies.
