Sinoma Cement’s takeover of Votorantim’s 1.8 Mta Jbel Oust cement plant and corresponding assets located in Tunisia comes closer. A Chinese spokesman said that the deal (we reported here in August 2024) will be finalised in a few days. Sinoma is interested to bring its modern and advanced technologies to the Tunisian plant and modernise the equipment, which will reduce the energy consumption and environmental emissions.
