Iraq’s Al Dough Cement awarded Sinoma International Engineering a US$ 220m contract to build a new 6000 tpd clinker line for the production of 2.0 Mta of cement. The project is sponsored by the Al Khawam family and by a US$ 130m loan from the IFC Investment Bank. The new kiln line is located in the Samawa area in the Southern Iraqi province of the Muthanna, where Al Dough already operates a 1.5 Mta cement plant (photo).
