Canada’s Béton Provincial is acquiring from CRH Canada Group the Ash Grove cement plant in Joliette (photo), as well as several other assets located in Quebec, Newfoundland, Labrador, and the state of New York. These include 6 cement terminals, 9 ready-mixed concrete plants and 2 quarries in the greater Montreal. All cement activities will be operated under the name Ciment St-Laurent / St. Lawrence Cement, reviving a historically recognized brand in Quebec and Eastern North America.
