Russia’s cement production up +3.7% in 9M 2024

In the first 8 months of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by +3.7% to 44.157 Mt, after 42.593 Mt in the same period last year and 41.504 Mt in the year before.
In the first 7 months of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by +4.1% to 37.139 Mt, after 35.673 Mt in the same period last year and 34.840 Mt in the year before.
Since June 2021 to June 2024, Russia’s cement prices increased by more than 60%. In June 2024 the average cement prices increased by 17.0% to 6514 Rub/t, after 5686 Rub/t in June 2023.
In the first half of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by +4.8% to 30.013 Mt, after 28.631 Mt in the same period last year. However, in the 2. quarter the increase was only +2.6% YoY.
Since the invasion to the Ukraine, 24th Feb. 2022, Russia’s cement prices (excl. VAT) massively increased to 6225 Rub/t, after 5320 Rub/t in May last year and 3915 Rub/t two previous years ago.
In the first 5 months of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by a huge +6.9% to 23.199 Mt, after 21.708 Mt in the same period last year and 21.651 in the previous year.
In the first 4 months of 2024, Russia’s cement production increased by +8.4% to 16.738 Mt, after 15.442 Mt in the same period last year and 15.825 Mt the year before.
In the first quarter of 2024, the cement production in Russia increased by 8.9% to 11.145 Mt, after 10.236 Mt in the same period last year. The March increase has been +12.4% YoY.
