Limak Çimento plans to install a HotDisk reactor in its Kilis cement plant in Türkiye by 2025. The HotDisk will replace about 80% of the lignite fuel in a 5000 tpd in-line calciner, resulting in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The lignite will be mainly replaced with shredded tires in an attempt to enable the maximum calorific value to be gained from the alternative fuel. The HotDisk technology has been launched to the market over 20 years ago. In Türkiye this will mark the 4th installation.
