SigmaRoc PLC’s acquisition of CRH’s European lime business will create Northern Europe’s leader in lime and limestone. The CRH’s assets include Tarmac in England, Fels-Werke in Germany and Czech Republic, Clogrennane Lime in Ireland and Trzuskawica in Poland. These Assets are extremely complementary to Nordkalk’s, which belongs to SigmaRoc. The purchase price of US$ 1.1 bn represents an EV/LTM EBITDA acquisition multiple of 8.0x (pre-synergies). In a first phase the assets in Germany (photo: Kalkwerk Rübeland of Fels-Werke), Ireland and CZ have been transferred, the assets in England and Poland will follow later this year.
