At the end of the last financial year, UltraTech Cement increased its cement capacity by 8.7 Mta to 200.1 Mta with 3 new grinding plants in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Patratu in Jharkhand. In the new financial year, the company has commissioned 4.6Mta of cement capacity in India, comprising a new 3.6 Mta integrated plant (photo: plant construction phase) at Petnikota in Andhra Pradesh and 1Mta added through debottlenecking at its existing plants in Visakhapatnam, Patratu and Nathdwara. Accordingly, now the cement capacity in India totals 204.7 Mta.
