Uzbekistan’s cement production capacity is projected by UZSM, the Association of Building Materials, to 40.8 Mta at the end of 2024. However, according to known projects (incl. Andijan Conch Cement (photo), Hengyuan and Evergreen Holdings) we expect a capacity of 37.5 Mta by the end of the year. This capacity corresponds to a cement consumption of 16.8 Mta in 2023, of which about 1.65 Mta were imports. According to our data the cement capacity utilization in Uzbekistan has been 50.2% in 2023, this will decline to about 46.1% this year.
