SINOMA Overseas achieved a major milestone with the successful ignition of the 12,500 tpd clinker production line no. 3 at YAMAMA’s Northern Halal cement plant (photo) in Al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia. This is the world’s first relocation and upgrade of a 10,000 tpd production line, which had been formerly installed at the old Riyadh cement plant. Key systems were newly installed, including a 12,500 tpd clinker cooler, preheater, and roller press. The project had been awarded in February 2024 and has been a first collaboration between the YAMAMA Group and a Chinese EPC contractor.
